What is the Japan-Israel-Palestine Student Conference?
The Japan-Israel-Palestine Student Conference is a organization consisted of students which run Japan-Israel-Palestine Joint Student Conference. The conference invite students who live in areas of the conflict to Japan for two to three weeks and provide an environment where discussion and communication can take place.
"Mutual Understanding"--- In areas in conflict it can be very difficult to create an opportunity where young people from the two different groups meet to understand each other as individual. The purpose of the Japan-Israel-Palestine Joint Student Conference is to create such environment.
"Bringing a Message to Society"--- In country like Japan, the situation and facts of the Israel-Palestinian conflict are unfortunately often misunderstood, distorted, and/or ignored. Even if only a little bit, the Japan-Israel-Palestine Joint Student Conference would like to raise people’s awareness towards events occurring in the Middle-East.
Through participation and discussion that took place in the previous conferences, we realized the various difficulties and complexities concerning these issues. However, we also felt some progress to build our future through dialogue.
--- It would be naïve for us to believe we can easily understand the depths of the difficulties that they face. However, we desire to share your experiences…---
